The new Royal Burgh of Selkirk & District Comunity Council following the appointment of Councillors and Officials at Meeting held in the Victoria Hall, Selkirk - Monday 11th July 2005.
The new Council met for the first time after nominations were taken to elect Community Councillors to the Council in May 2005. 11 nominations were received for the Council, thus all were appointed to the Council.
At the Meeting, Returning Officer Gordon Edgar, requested nominations for the Officials of the Council and the following appointments were made:
Chairman - John Munro
Vice-Chairman - Kenny Gunn
Honorary Treasurer - Caroline Cruickshank
Honorary Secretary - Not appointed.
